While on one of our art exploration trips to South Africa a couple
of years back we discovered the ceramics studio of Fée
Halsted-Berning in the province of KwaZuki Natal. The unique spirit
of her work left no doubt in our minds that we had indeed unearthed a
true treasure. Presently, her ceramics are being auctioned at
Christie's in London, sparking a flurry of interest each and every
time they are presented.
The varying styles of native ceramic
artists such as Ivette McGee, who incorporates the beautiful and
mysterious attributes of her province into her work.
In
addition, there are many lesser known San artisans who embrace this
archaic art form, thereby capturing the imagination of all those who
share in their work.
All of our ceramics are collectible pieces
intended to be used as dramatic table decorations that dazzle the eye
and conjure a captivating ambiance.
